Find out about UTAR Library membership, borrowing privileges, external membership categories, application requirements and access to selected library services.
All current UTAR staff and students with a valid staff or student ID card are automatically registered as members of the UTAR Library.
The staff or student ID card also serves as the library card and must be used to access the library and borrow and return the library materials.
Members are entitled to borrow and return library materials from any UTAR Library. Borrowing privileges are based on membership types, as shown below:
External memberships are available under the following categories:
Membership is non-transferable and applies only to individual residing in Malaysia.
Online library card will be provided, which must be used to enter the UTAR Library and borrow or return library books.
Access to online databases is available as an add-on service, charged on a daily basis. Access is limited to selected UTAR subscribed online databases via dedicated PCs in the library. Remote access is not available.
